Unforgettable Roles Played by the Late Paul Walker
The late Paul Walker has starred in a wide array of movies portraying the characters from high-school boy to undercover cop. Here are just a few roles that define the late actor. Although he was best known for playing Brian O'Conner in the "Fast & Furious" series, he has a long list of movies in which he has brought into life many characters growing from a child artist to a consummate action star. In his more than 25- year long career, the 40-year-old actor has provided his fans with great entertainment.
(1) In 1986, he made his debut in the film: "Monster in the closet."
(2) Walker has carved a niche for humour in his debut comedy, co-starring Howard Duff and John Carradine. He has played the role of the bespectacled "Professor" Bennett. After this movie, he guest starred on several television programs, like "Charles in Charge," "Who's the Boss?," and "The Young and the Restless."
(3) In 2001, the first film of "The Fast and the Furious" Franchise was released.
By playing the role of undercover LAPD officer Brian O'Conner, Walker has achieved the leading-man status in Hollywood. Brian O'Conner is the role he had played for more than a decade and cherished it most. Fans are waiting eagerly to see him as O'Conner one last time in "Fast & Furious 7," which is set for release on April 10, 2015.
"I love doing action. I love it. It's so much fun. I want to be as involved in it as possible. It's either [you're] sitting around and watching someone else do it, or doing it yourself; I'd rather be doing it myself," revealed the late Walker to Hollywood.com at the time the first film of the series was released.
Followed by "The Fast and the Furious" he starred in six of the seven films of the Universal's all-time most beneficial franchise including; 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), Fast & Furious (2009),Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013),Fast & Furious 7 (2015). Walker did not star in third instalment of the franchise" The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)."
(4) In 2013, the movie "Hours" was released which he called his passion project.
This was one of his final films released before his untimely demise in 2013 which was considered as close to his heart as he related this reel-life experience to his real life relationship with his daughter Meadow Walker. He played the role of Nolan, the father of an infant girl on incubator and inside a hospital in the midst of the devastating 2005 Hurricane Katrina which resulted in the power failure.
"It was something I just connected with. I felt like it was pure ... I'm always doing the big action thing, running around and being cool guy, which is fun from time to time. It was nice just being honest and tell things from the heart," stated Walker to Indiewire.
Other notable movies of late Paul Walker include: "Pleasantville," "Varsity Blues" "Joy Ride," "Flags of Our Fathers," "Into the Blue," "She's All That" and "The Skulls."
