The Wall Street Journal Online is reporting that the 33-year-old actor and husband of 49-year-old A-list actress, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher is highly likely to replace Charlie Sheen for “Men”.
It looks like another funny man, young and a true-blood hunk of Hollywood is landing the most controversial, but seemingly not-so-coveted role on television these days - - the lead star for “Two and a Half Men”.
The Wall Street Journal Online is reporting that the 33-year-old actor and husband of 49-year-old A-list actress, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher is highly likely to replace Charlie Sheen for “Men”.
Quoting an unnamed source who is very privy to the deal having been supposedly briefed on the deal, The Wall Street Journal is saying that as the controversial comedy show’s lead star, Kutcher is reportedly going to be paid $1 million per episode - - the amount very close to Charlie Sheen’s talent fee after his last negotiation with Warner Bros. in August last year.
It is not clear however, said The Wall Street Journal if the deal has been finalized and completed though the unnamed source maintained that part of the deal was already agreed upon by both parties.
No official statement has been issued by Ashton Kutcher or his representative. The “Valentine’s Day” actor is also very unlikely mum about it on his Twitter as no clear messages have been posted that will directly give his millions of followers the good news.
Should the speculated deal has been finalized as suspected Thursday evening, it came almost a week before CBS and Warner Bros. make their announcement of their new programming schedule for this fall.
Is Ashton is the best man for the job?
Among many of Kutcher’s previous shows include Fox’s That 70’s Show which aired on television from 1998 to 2006. The actor has also appeared in a number of rom-com flicks including Valentine’s Day and A Lot Like Love.
The 37-year old actor’s latest film is with Academy Award winner, Natalie Portman in ‘No Strings Attached’.
Other movies to his credit include Killers (2010); Personal Effects (2009); Spread (2009); What Happens in Vegas (2008); among others.
