Sony has been on a roll with its updates these past few weeks. The company has been updating its Xperia line with Android 4.3 and Android 4.4 KitKat. Update rollout often depends on the region of the users and their network carriers. Nonetheless, many consumers are giving the Japanese tech giant some thumbs up for keeping its promise with the updates and other fixes.

Sony's Xperia Tablet Z WiFi version can now receive the Android 4.3 10.4.B.0.577 firmware. The update following two weeks after Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra received the firmware. To make things easier, users can now update their devices using the PC Companion and SUS. This means users can update even without the OTA solution yet.

People should allot considerable memory to the update because it will take 792MB. This is large compared to previous updates. To makes things easier, users can connect their tablet simply to the computer. Run the PC companion app and follow the instructions provided. The official changelog under Sony features smoother graphical experience and improved user interface optimization. Users will also get treated to a fresh Sony UI featuring a new home screen look and feel.

Other things users should expect include downloadable camera apps, Sony's Smart Social Camera app including the latest version of the Battery Stamina mode. There are also security enhancements. The Sony Xperia Z is one of the top notch slates around.

The display sports Shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass and Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. It runs on Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), v4.3 (Jelly Bean), planned upgrade to v4.4 (KitKat). The device also sports Qualcomm MDM9215M / APQ8064, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait and Adreno 320.
