U.S. Court Sentences Aussie Man 40 Years for Pimping Adopted 6-Year-Old Son Through Internet Porn (VIDEOS)
The Indiana Federal Court sentenced on Friday a 42-year-old Australian man 40 years prison term after he pleaded guilty to charges of child exploitation. The man made pornographic films that caters to paedophiles using his adopted son.
The man used fake documents to adopt the boy and brought him to the U.S. where he allowed other males to sexually abuse the child, who was then 5 or 6 years old, in the pornographic films he made. However, prosecutors discovered a new video that showed the man used the boy for a sex act when he was less than 2 years old.
The sentencing of the Aussie followed the largest child porn arrest in Florida where authorities discovered downloads of more than 1 million.
The man paid $8,000 for the boy but passed himself as the biological father of the boy, but later adopted him in Los Angeles.
"These men submitted this young child to some of the most heinous acts of exploitation that his office has ever seen," Bismarck Tribune quoted Indiana U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett.
The man and his partner live with the adopted boy in California and even brought him to other countries such as France, Australia and Germany to be abused by other men.
The videos showed at least eight men sexually abused the young boy, one of the abuser is from Illinois and the other from Florida.
U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker said the men, whose names were not released to protect the identity of the victim, deserved a higher sentence, but she agreed to accept the plea agreement because the content of the videos of the sex act were to horrific even to show to the jury.
While the man apologised to the judge for his acts and even insisted that "being a father was an honor and a privilege that amounted to the best six years of my life," Ms Barker retorted, "Words don't help. What can be said? What can be done to erase some of the horror of this?"
Besides the prison term, the man was ordered to pay $400,000 restitution to his adopted son, while his partner has also been convicted but not yet sentenced. The boy is in state care in the U.S.
