Carson is a Republican candidate for US elections 2016. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. He acquired a degree in medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School and stared his career as a physician. He worked as a professor of neurosurgery, paediatrics and oncology. He was the youngest person to become the director of pediatric neurosurgery at John Hopkins University at 33.
The man, known for speaking his mind, gained national attention when he took the opportunity to discuss social and political issues at the National Prayer Breakfast in 2013. Carson authored six books published by a Christian media and publishing company, Zondervan. All his books focus on his personal struggle and victory, deriving philosophies of life that lead the way to success.
