'Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev Graces Seventeen Magazine [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
"Vampire Diaries" Nina Dobrev has got her career on an all-time high and with her highly-anticipated stint on the upcoming film "Perks of Being a Wallflowers", projects will surely come pouring in. To prove Dobrev's worth in the industry, the lovely lady has landed the cover of Seventeen Magazine where she talks about dating co-star, Ian Somerhalder.
It isn't the first time Nina Dobrev has landed the cover of the prestigious teenage magazine. In fact, Dobrev had already graced the cover of Seventeen Magazine back in April of 2010. With the infectious smile, Nina had been eyed as one of the female inspirations of teenagers then and now.
Now, Nina has once again graced the magazine and this time the 23-year old actress opens up on dating Ian Somerhalder, working with "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson and the upcoming flick, "Perks of Being a Wallflower."
In the highly-anticipated film release of Stephen Chbosky's best-selling novel, Nina plays Candace, the shy yet over-achieving sister of Logan Lerman. In "Wallflower", Nina gets involved in an abusive relationship of which she talks about in the magazine interview.
"I think more than anything, girls allow abuse to happen because they're embarrassed it happened, and that they allowed it to happen," explains Nina, adding, "They know it's not right. There's no excuse for it. That's why it's so important to show girls that they can admit that it's not their fault."
Apart from speaking up about her role on film, Nina also shares her love for being a kid at heart of which same characteristic she had found in co-star, Emma Watson.
"I want to go to Harry Potter Land! I actually should text Emma Watson to see if she can hook us up with a backstage pass or something. That's the perk of doing a movie with Emma called The Perks Of Being A Wallflower," said Nina.
While fans know Nina as Elena from "Vampire Diaries", a few know her as the lucky girlfriend to the hot and smoldering Somerhalder. Ironically, it was quite hard for Nina to keep everything professional during the first years of filming.
"The first time I was on the cover of Seventeen, the cover line said 'Nina: Why she wouldn't date any of her co-stars.' And then cut to two years later...it's funny that I said that, but you know what? It was honestly what I believed at the time. I didn't want to be dating one of my costars-my goal on the show was to be professional. But sometimes you can't help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long-which I did for a really, really long time," said Nina.
