"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 is expected to touch on the relationship of the Salvatore brothers especially after a girl named Elena Gilbert entered their lives, fell in-love with one and ended up choosing the other brother. Actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley tease the TVD fans about the new season having a new dynamic between Damon and Stefan.

Ian Somerhalder revealed in the Wetpaint report about his excitement for vampire character Damon interacting with brother Stefan after he was able to free himself from the chains and entrapment underwater, thanks to Silas. "I love this dynamic with Silas, and I love this new dynamic with Stefan once we find him - if we find Stefan," Mr Somerhalder teased with a wink.

However, the 34-year-old actor further shared that his character may not be completely changed from his killer instincts despite his romantic relationship with Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). Ian explained: "Because that's the character we created, that's the character that people love. You can argue, 'Well people change.' But, look, this guy's 170 plus years old. He's not gonna change in the 2.5 years this show's been on."

Actor Paul Wesley, on the other hand, revealed to Entertainment Weekly on the major differentiating factor when it comes to portraying his double characters Stefan Salvatore and Silas. "It was more about making him 2,000 years old as opposed to someone 160 years old and this lost sort of guy who had a tremendous amount of guilt. I don't think Silas really has the guilt," the 31-year-old actor shared. Mr Wesley even teased that Silas is "a man on a mission" but did not exactly share what that mission would be.

According to another Wetpaint report, an upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season is expected to cause an "emotional trauma." The details came from writer Jeane de Vivre through via social networking site Twitter.

"P.S. I might call in sick tomorrow from the emotional trauma I have and will sustain after reading this script. @julieplec @carolinedries," Ms De Vivre wrote on her Twitter account @jeanedevivre. It is still unclear on what episode the script is about but assumptions point to 100th TVD episode where "something major" is bound to happen.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW network.
