"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 has two episodes left and the suspense on what will happen to doppelgangers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) continues to intensify. The promo video for Episode 21 titled "Promised Land" teased that Stefan and Elena will be adding Liv (Penelope Mitchell) and her "Wonder Twin" Luke (Chris Brochu) to the list of people of people who want them dead.

The promo video begins with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) revealing his plan of finding Markos (Raffi Barsoumian) and killing the leader of the Travellers to save Mystic Falls. However, a clip shows Markos arriving at the Salvatore mansion and attacking Damon.

The next scene showed Traveller Maria (Tamara Austin) explaining to Stefan and Elena that the moment the spell starts, magic will be stripped away layer by layer. Then, Liv told Luke that they have to kill the doppelgangers in order to protect the Other Side and their magic.

Bonnie (Kat Graham), Caroline (Candice Accola) and Damon can also be seen in the promo video with a shocked look on their faces as Damon declare that they have a problem. The ending scene on the promo video showed Liv using her power to stop the vehicle where Stefan and Elena are in. "I'm sorry, one of you needs to die," Liv told Elena who was on the ground.

In the Fashion & Style report, the synopsis for Episode 21 reveal that there will be a Stefan and Elena moment as the two get stranded in a remote location while running away from Markos. However, Stefan will get philosophical with Elena when it comes to her relationship with his brother.

The synopsis further teased that Damon will be asking Matt (Zach Roerig) and Jeremy's (Steven R McQueen) help in trapping Markos but the leader of the Travellers have a devastating surprise under his sleeve. As for Bonnie, the Anchor will finally tell Caroline the truth about the Other Side disintegrating.

Bonnie will be desperately looking for a way to put a stop to Markos' evil scheme but Caroline becomes a witness to one Traveller's unthinkable act of violence. The upcoming episode will definitely take the TVD fans on the edge of their seats since executive producer Caroline Dries teased in the Zap2it report that there will be three major deaths before "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 ends.

In Spoiler TV's TV Guide scan, actor Ian Somerhalder talked about the finale episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 and revealed that the stakes will be raised. According to the TVD star, when the TVD characters die this time, they will stay dead.
