'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: Stefan Gets Desperate to Save Elena with Caroline and Matt Helping, Synopsis For Episode 15 'Gone Girl' Revealed

The revealed synopsis for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5, Episode 15 titled "Gone Girl" hints Katherine's (Nina Dobrev) fun days in Elena's body are over. It looks like what Katherine did in the 100^th episode will finally be exposed and Elena's (also Nina Dobrev) friends, especially ex Stefan (Paul Wesley), will go through desperate measures to bring her back.

In the upcoming episode, there will be flashbacks featuring Nadia (Olga Fonda) and the Traveller's really long search for her mother Katherine. The Hollywood Life report speculates Matt (Zach Roerig), who found out about what Nadia and Katherine did to Elena, will be revealing Katherine's secret to Caroline (Candice Accola) and Stefan.

The synopsis may have teased about Elena's life hanging by thread with Matt, Caroline and Stefan getting desperate to save her but there are also other exciting events happening in the upcoming episode. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is still determined to get back at Dr Wes Maxfield (Rick Cosnett) and the bad boy vampire will even have a vicious confrontation with Tyler (Michael Trevino).

Another scene in Episode 15 will have Tyler and Caroline coming to "a new understanding" after the scandalous sex that the blonde vampire did with Tyler's enemy, Original hybrid Klaus (Joseph Morgan). The new witch character, Liv Parker (Penelope Mitchell) is also set to return in this episode with Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) asking for her help again.

The full synopsis for Episode 15 in the Wet Paint report reads: "While Nadia remembers her centuries-long search for her mother, Stefan (Paul Wesley), Caroline (Candice Accola) and Matt (Zach Roerig) come up with a desperate new plan to save Elena's life. For the second time, Bonnie and Jeremy must turn to Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) for help. Damon baits Tyler into a nasty confrontation, then takes off to seek revenge on Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett). Caroline and Tyler come to a new understanding. Finally, Bonnie learns of a terrifying secret that will threaten the lives of all her friends."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 airs Thursday nights at 8 pm ET on the CW Network. Episode 15 titled "Gone Girl" is scheduled to air on March 6, 2014.
