Two "Vampire Diaries" characters that returned from the Other Side will not get along in Season 6. Executive producer Julie Plec teased that Alaric (Matt Davis) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will hate each other and clash as well.

In the Entertainment Weekly report, Julie Plec confirmed that actor Michael Malarkey will be a series regular in Season 6 since his onscreen character becomes a major player in the CW TV series. "We have not seen the last of the delicious Michael Malarkey. He's a wonderful addition to the team, and he will be officially a series regular next year," Plec shared.

When asked if Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) buddies will be interacting in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, the executive producer teased she thinks it will happen but she anticipates the two characters to not like each other very much.

However, Julie Plec shared that she imagines there will come a time that Alaric and Enzo will have their own gig. The TVD executive producer stated that if it will be like Enzo and Alaric in Season 9, they could spin the two characters off in their own show.

As for Matt Davis, the 36-year-old actor also returned to "The Vampire Diaries" as a regular cast member. Fans can now see more of Alaric Saltzman in the TV series as he helps Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) deal with their heartbreak over losing Damon and Bonnie (Kat Graham).

"The Elena and Alaric friendship is something we're really looking forward to next year and I'm super excited to have Matt back," Julie Plec revealed to TV Guide. TVD fans know that Alaric Saltzman has transformed from school teacher to guardian of the Gilbert siblings after Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning) died. Alaric has also formed a strong bond with Damon Salvatore.

In "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, Alaric Saltzman will be dealing as well with his life as an Original vampire in Mystic Falls. Julie Plec teased that Alaric will not like his vampire life and describes it to be a weird experience.

Plec further added that Alaric's return is a beautiful circle back to the time when he was a supportive figure to Elena. Now that Alaric will be living a secret vampire life, it is Elena's turn in Season 6 to help Alaric how to do it and be supportive.
