The CW Network has released the promo video for the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 to tease the grand return of one character. In the upcoming episode 6 titled "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get," Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) is back but not so good news welcomed him.

According to the episode synopsis in a Carter Matt report, Damon will receive some upsetting news and the Salvatore vampire will take matters into his own hands when it comes to dealing with the issue. The promo video teased that Damon's return to his family and friends will not be a pleasant one because Elena (Nina Dobrev) has no memories of loving him and vampire hunter Tripp (Colin Ferguson) is causing trouble.

"I'm baack!" Damon declares in the beginning of the promo video. The next scene shows Tripp asking Enzo (Michael Malarkey) to give him the locations of his vampire friends or the two of them will go on a trip to Mystic Falls that is still cloaked with the Traveler's anti-magic boundary spell.

Best friends Damon and Alaric also catch up in the promo video but Damon does not sound happy. Alaric asks Damon how he is doing and the Salvatore vampire sarcastically responds that he is great after finding out that his best friend has compelled his beautiful and lovely girlfriend to forget that she ever loved him.

Trouble apparently followed Damon in his return as he wakes up in the room where Enzo (Michael Malarkey) is being held captive. "I came back for this," Damon declares in disbelief. The other details in the episode synopsis teased that Alaric will ask Elena to dig into Jo's (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) background after finding out that his new love interest cannot be compelled, Caroline (Candice Accola), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) are on a mission to save Enzo before Tripp finds out about their true identities and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) hits rock bottom and lashes out in a destructive way.

The episode synopsis did not tease what will happen next to TVD character Bonnie (Kat Graham). As a recap, Bonnie once again sacrificed herself in "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here" in order for Damon to go back home and the witch is left wounded and stuck in 1994 with sociopath witch Kai (Chris Wood).

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 6 titled "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get" is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
