'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Stefan's New Love Interest Appears In Latest Promo Trailer [WATCH VIDEO]
The CW Network has released a longer promo trailer for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 titled "Move On." The promo video teases about a TVD character moving on from the heartbreaking events that happened in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 finale with his new life, home and even a new love interest.
The promo trailer showed how the TVD characters are dealing with Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) death. For Stefan (Paul Wesley), the younger Salvatore vampire moved on by distancing himself from everyone else with a new home, profession and even a love interest as shown in the promo video.
Stefan can be seen in the video getting cozy with a mystery woman and revealing to her that he is a vampire. A Hypable report assumed that Stefan's new lady love in the promo trailer is actress Emily C. Chang.
The report further revealed that Emily C. Chang joins the cast of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 as the new character named Ivy. The new face in the CW TV series has been described as the "quintessential girl next door with an unexpected wild side."
Moreover, the latest promo trailer released showed Elena's (Nina Dobrev) mental state as she deals with the death of Damon Salvatore. Extreme anxiety will cause Elena to lose control to the point that she attacks people and pressures Luke Parker (Chris Brochu) to find a way for her to see Damon again.
Elena's journey in the upcoming new season will not be easy as she recalls the love, passion and adventures she had with Damon. Stefan tells Elena through a phone call that she has to say goodbye while Damon gently asks Elena to move on from what happened in a hallucination. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 will kick off with a time jump after Damon and Bonnie's death in the fifth season finale as well as the anti-magic boundary spell over Mystic Falls. Executive producer Julie Plec confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter back in May that the new season of the CW TV series will have an organic reset.
"We're trying to take the show away from the massive genre extravaganza, where each season we try to top each other with the bigger, bad, more exciting mythologies and boil it back down to the beginning," Plec explained in the THR report. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is scheduled to air with the premiere episode titled "I'll Remember" on Thursday night, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. EST on the CW Network.
