The Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack now allows The Sims 3 players to turn their characters into vampires, a celebrity or a mixologist.

In the expansion pack, players have the option to befriend a vampire and eventually ask their new friend to turn them into one of their kind, very much like what Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan did with Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen in Twilight.

"The Sims 3 Late Night is one of the most fun expansion packs we've made to date and it includes activities that players will enjoy including becoming a celebrity, vampire or world class mixologist," said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA.

"From hot tubs and celebrities to vampires and bands, this expansion pack gives players the opportunity to tell the stories of what happens after work and offers a great backdrop for endless creative possibilities."

The Sims 3 Late Night allows players the opportunity to explore their dark side by including creatures of the night, late night hot spots and activities best done after the sun goes down.

Once changed into vampires. players will find that their Sims, the characters unique to The Sims games, have thirst instead of hunger, can run faster, read minds and need to sleep during the daylight hours. Their Sims won't instantly turn into a spitting portrait of Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen, but the upside is vampires have upscale late night hang outs where select few get in.

The Sims Late Night Expansion Pack for the PC/MAC begins shipping today to retail stores across North America and Europe, according to a new announcement by EA Play.
