This week, you can battle with the undead, defeat a gruesome one-eyed monster with tentacles, and enjoy a game a few weeks before the sequel of the movie counterpart hits theaters.

Dead Island Riptide Special Edition

Look forward to another month featuring the undead as Dead Island Riptide makes its way for release. Kotaku reports that gamers can expect exclusive weapon mods, character skins, and digital strategy map.

The game also features water territories and battles against the undead, as well as new zombie types. The special edition has new playable characters and mechanics, to give you a fresh take on the undead.

You can also get the original soundtrack, to be released on the same date as the special edition game.

According to Dead Central, there will be 25 tracks from Pawel Baszczak's original score, which will be available at Sumthing Else Music Works or through digital download on the official website, iTunes, Amazon MP3, and other music sites.

Dead Island Riptide will be released on April 23 in the US and April 26 in Europe for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Star Trek: The Video Game

Before you check out Star Trek: Into Darkness this May, you can first get a load of the Star Trek: The Video Game, which will be released this week after the 2012 release delay.

It's a great way to transition from the first movie to the second one, as the game takes place between the two movies, reports Polygon. Check out the gameplay trailer to know more about the story line.

Pre-orders of the item gives you access to the Elite Officer Pack, which will give you exclusi ve items and uniforms for playables like Kirk and Spock, reports GameSpot.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Capcom Unity is releasing the expanded version of the original Dragon's Dogma, and this time, new monsters, particularly one huge eyeball monster thing, is taking the forefront of the game

According to Joystiq, the Gazer, as the monster is called, is just one of the additions in the game,

The game will be available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 23 for the US and April 26 or Europe. Kotaku adds that the new game will have more skills and equipment, increased character customization, 14 new playable characters, and even the option to have a Japanese voice over for the game.
