‘The Voice Australia’ 2016 Rewind: Tash Lockhart, Ellen Reed, Adam Ladell and Andrew Loadsman among best performers
Next episode airs June 13 on Nine
“The Voice Australia” 2016 (Season 5) goes live this Monday on Nine Network. Sixteen contestants are vying for public votes. Tash Lockhart, Ellen Reed, Adam Ladell and Andrew Loadsman may be their respective team’s best bet. Coaches Delta Goodrem and Jessie J each has two 4-chair turners in their teams, while new coach Ronan Keating has no all-turn. Who will stun and awe the audience in their first live performance on the show?
Tash Lockhart (Team Ronan) was stellar in her David Bowie cover in the super battles. Ellen Reed (Team Jessie) has so far been consistent with her big vocals and powerful deliveries. Adam Ladell (Team Delta) loses all signs of Tourette Syndrome when he sings; at various points in the show, Ladell was even more confident and compelling than the rest of his peers.
‘The Voice Australia’ 2016: Team Madden’s Andrew Loadsman among strongest contestants – so far!
Andrew Loadsman (Team Madden) is in a league that is all his own; his numbers have all been concert-level up to the super battles. These four are likely to make it to the next round of the competition, barring any struggle or weak moments in the live shows.
The following were four-chair turners in the blind auditions, but they all went home after the previous week’s super battles: Maddison McNamara (Team Madden, Jessie J), Claire Howell (Jessie J), Georgia Carey (Team Ronan), and the Koi Boys (Team Jessie J).
‘The Voice Australia’ 2016: Will the Koi Boys perform as wildcard contestant?
The Koi Boys have posted this status on Facebook recently:
We will find out soon if we have made [an] impact and if there will be a wildcard entry. Fingers crossed!!! # thekoiboyswildcard The Voice Australia
Incidentally, the group has also posted a public appeal for their return on the show. The trio is composed of Nuz Ngatai, Kevin Keepa and Danny Faifai. They were originally from New Zealand but have been holding gigs all over Australia for the past ten years.
Here are the 16 contestants performing on Season 5’s first live show:
Team Delta Goodrem: Adam Ladell, Alfie Arcuri, Elle Murphy and Kim Sheehy
Team Ronan Keating: Emad Younan, Georgia Wiggins, Mitch Gardner and Tash Lockhart
Team Madden: Aaliyah Warren, Andrew Loadsman, Lane Sinclair and Lexi Clark
Team Jessie J: Brianna Holm, Ellen Reed, Jack Pellow and Mikaela Dean
“The Voice Australia 2016” live show results will be announced next week. From then, one contestant will go home every week until the Final Four is revealed.
