The Voice Australia 2017 episode 4 recap TheVoiceAu/Facebook

“The Voice Australia” 2017 season 6, episode 4 kicked off Sunday night with intense drama and amazing performances by the selected candidates in the new rounds of the Blind Auditions. Before we start with the recap of the first episode of week 2, let's summarize what happened in week one.

Boy George led the pack with five contestants in his team: Robin Johnson, Hoseah Partsch, Benjamin Caldwell, Sally Skelton and Brittania Clifford-Pugh. Coach Kelly Rowland came next with four singers, Gemma Lyon, Bojesse Pigram, Michelle Mutyora and Camryn Jordans. Seal and Delta Goodrem had three contestants: Berni Harrison, Arthur Bristowe and Annalisse Walker for Team Seal, and Claire Howell, Tim Conlon and Fasika Ayallew for Team Goodrem.

Episode 4 started with Queensland mother Brooke Schubert, a country singer. She considers former Voice coach Keith Urban her "mentor," who sent her a video message telling her not to "choke" before singing a Celine Dion song. Schubert got all four judges to turn for her. Goodrem connected with Schubert, but George chipped in and guided her to choose Seal as her coach. Schubert agreed with George and went to Team Seal.

Tasmanian singers Sean and Molly were next on “The Voice Australia” 2017, singing “Papercuts” by Illy. They failed to get through to the next round, however. Sheep farmer Sam Hale from South Australia came next and chose Seal as his coach. Next up was high school graduate Tommy Harris, who was an instant favourite among the audience. He impressed everyone with “Fire and the Flood” by Vance Joy. After his performance, he revealed that he is actually a guitarist who hates to lead a normal life. "You're a dream, you should come on my team," an impressed Rowland told him. Undoubtedly, he chose Team Kelly.

Loren from Tamworth was up next performing “Bootylicious” with a guitar, prompting Rowland to come on stage and sing a duet with her. Though she failed to turn around any chairs, Loren left a mark on everyone in the episode. Fifteen-year-old Lucy Sugerman was next. She sang a David Bowie classic, “Space Oddity,” and impressed everyone with her talent. Check out her video below.

Sugerman has been learning music since the age of nine and came on the show with her dad, who couldn't help control his tears. It was a tough choice for Sugerman to decide who she wanted to go with, but in the end, she chose to be on Team Seal, thus helping the coach reach the maximum number of singers (six).

"I feel so excited, happy, overwhelmed and i just can't believe that that just happened to me," Sugerman said. Her dad revealed that the teenager prodigy was crowned Australian National Busking Champion in 2015 and 2016. She began performing in Canberra six years ago and released her first album when she was just 11.

“The Voice Australia” 2017 Blind Auditions continue tonight on network Nine at 7:30 p.m. with more talent. Meanwhile, check out the videos of the best performances from episode 4 below:
