‘The Voice’ update: Watch Miley Cyrus steal artist from Team Alicia with her tongue [VIDEO]
Miley Cyrus’ infamous tongue made quite an appearance on “The Voice” Battles as the pop singer-songwriter used it to steal Joshua Halverson from Alicia Keys’ team.
Keys decided to keep Kylie Rothfield over Halverson after the pair’s “House of the Rising Sun” duet on Monday night’s “The Voice” Battles. But Cyrus saved him from eliminations by using her tongue to press the red button on her red chair.
“I know I turned my chair for you Josh. I love everything about you. You are just so unique and I can hear that in your voice,” she said before Keys announced her decision.
Keys let Belle Jewel proceed to the Knock Outs after her “Bennie and the Jets” duet with Halle Tomlinson. She also stole Team Miley’s Sarayah after Cyrus decided to let Aaron Gibson proceed to the Knock Outs following their “I’ll Take Care of You” collaboration.
“This is probably the hardest decision I’m making in all my battle… Sarayah I’ve worked with you and given you something that you can take, but I feel like the person I can coach the best, the person who needs me to spread their wings a little bit bigger and the winner of this battle is Aaron,” Cyrus said.
“With Aaron, I feel in my heart that I did the right thing. I just looking forward to grow even more, because he’s really changed in a short amount of time. It’s amazing,” she added.
Meanwhile, Blake Shelton decide to keep Josh Gallagher after his “Stranger in My House” duet with Blaine Long.
Shelton also picked Dana Harper over Tarra Layne after the girls’ “Alive” duet and Gabe Broussard instead of Christian Fermin after the boys’ take on Hoobastank’s “The Reason.”
Shelton also stole Karlee Metzger from Team Miley after Cyrus picked Darby Anne Walker following girl’s rendition of Melanie Safka’s “Brand New Key.”
Adam Levine decided to take Nolan Neal to the Knock Outs instead of Johnny Rez after their face off over Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer.”
Levine also kept Simone Gundy over JSoul after their duet on “You’re All I Need to Get By.”
