‘The Walking Dead’ characters Daryl Dixon, Michonne don ‘Star Wars’ gear in creative mash-up
“Star Wars” fever is in full force with die-hard fans lining up in cinemas to see the latest film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The “Star Wars” bug is also strong among “The Walking Dead” fans with the release of creative mash-ups which show beloved characters in the AMC series in their “Star Wars” regalia.
Fans paid homage to “Star Wars” by transforming some of “The Walking Dead” stars into iconic characters from the movie, according to Entertainment Weekly. The creative challenge was set by the Twitter account of “The Walking Dead,” which called for fans to submit their creations of a character crossover between the AMC series and “Star Wars.”
In an invitation posted on “The Walking Dead’” Twitter page on Wednesday, fans were asked to join the “Star Wars” tribute.

The other “The Walking Dead” and “Star Wars” mash-ups include Michonne, played by Danai Gurira, using Kylo Ren’s lightsaber instead of her trademark katana, Entertainment Weekly reports. Fans also submitted a crossover depiction of Rick Grimes, played by Anthony Lincoln, trying to learn how to be a Jedi, while another creative mash-up had Rick, along with other “The Walking Dead” characters, wielding colourful lighsabers as they prepared to fight off zombies.
