'The Walking Dead: Our World' makes a killing in first week
“The Walking Dead: Our World” is topping the charts in downloads in the first week of the game’s release. According to a press release by Next Games, the game has risen to be one of the top 10 most downloaded apps in the games category.
The game is currently being played across the globe in over 40 markets, including US, UK, France, Germany, and Spain. The average playtime per player is 37 minutes. The top 5 most active cities for the game are Paris, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and Leipzig.
In just one week the players have completed 100 million missions, rescued 25 million survivors in the game, and built 1.4 million safe houses. This is an Augmented Reality game that lets players walk around and kill zombies on the streets. In the first week the players have walked 9 million kms and killed over 739 million zombies.

Since the game is based on the popular AMC TV series, the fans will be get to meet characters from the show. The players can go on missions with characters like Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Daryl (Norman Reedus).
For each successful mission players get rewards like special ammo. Players also join teams to compete in different challenges ever week. For players who don’t wish to head out to kill zombies, there’s a “couch play” option.
