Nathan Sykes was supposed to have a good time as a big birthday celebration was prepared for him in Episode 6 of ‘The Wanted Life’ Season 1. But his voice took a turn for the worse leaving him no choice but go back to the States as other members of The Wanted band stayed in the Bahamas.

The birthday boy couldn’t even sing a thank you tune to his friends who all made his big day a great one because Nathan’s voice gets worse, not better. From the Atlantis Hotel they were staying in the Bahamas, Nathan called his doctor and described what his voice sounds like and how he felt like.

Listening to Nathan and explaining the “uniqueness” of his nodule, the singer’s doctor advised him to fly back to the States and cut short his birthday celebration. Showing genuine concern for Nathan, his bandmates gave him a hug of support as he left for the airport.

It seemed like Nathan was a different person as his car wheeled away to the airport. A day before he was stuffing his face in a bikini-shaped cake prepared for him. Now, he worries he may lose his career as he loses his voice.

They all felt sad for Nathan, alright. But it was not for long that the rest of the members of the English-Irish band were back to their daily grind.

Considered the party animal of the group, Jay McGuiness, the palest of the group was sure glad he agreed to get a spray tan before flying to the Bahamas as he fits in perfectly for this week’s in episode outside of L.A.

Siva Kaneswaran vowed to step up to avoid almost missing out like he did in the music video they shot last week. The only band member who brought in a girlfriend, Nareesha McCaffrey when they moved in to their L.A. mansion, Siva was always in the spotlight in the first three episodes along with Max George. Conflict often arises since there’s always trouble in the big mansion with his girlfriend around. Nareesha does not agree to Max’s binging on drinks and girls freely making themselves in to her and Siva’s room - - like what happened in Episode 4 and 5 of 'The Wanted Life.'

For next week’s episode, “Comeback Like a Popstar,” The Wanted Life features Nathan’s throat surgery and the group will perform in their homeland, without Nathan. Jay McGuinness and Tom Parker both raised questions about the band’s future. Will there be more of The Wanted band?
