‘Wayward Pines' season 2 episode 4 spoilers: Xander Beck returns, Rebecca clashes with Megan in ‘Exit Strategy’

“Wayward Pines” Season 2 Episode 4, titled “Exit Strategy” will be airing on June 15. The fence is getting bigger and the Abbies are still waiting around.

The official synopsis for the upcoming episode says that Xander Beck (Josh Helman) will return to Wayward Pines. It is noted in the summary that he was trapped outside of the fence back in Episode 1. As he comes back, he will bring someone with him. This person will help him understand and learn more about the intentions of the Abbies, Cartermatt says.

At the same time, Rebecca (Nimrat Kaur) gets into a rift with Megan (Hope Davis). This is because she wants to help a young girl named Lucy (Emma Tremblay). The said girl wants to escape a tradition done in Wayward Pines.

In another part of Wayward Pines, CJ wants to lead a fearless group of people to go on an expedition, TV.com writes. They want to go outside the fence and explore. Furthermore, they want to expand the claim of the Earth by humanity. They want to do this by expanding the fence. However, Theo (Jason Patric) does not agree to this. Despite his protests, the group still pursue their expedition.

It is still unknown who the mysterious person is that Xander comes back with. However, it is speculated that this person has been around since he or she knows a lot about the Abbies. As for the expansion story line, this shows that confinement has its limits. This was already projected in the previous episode in Jason’s (Tom Stevens) backstory.

The thought of expanding territory and moving out the fence may be interesting and exciting for viewers. It gives the viewers a glimpse of what the world is like, or what is left of it, outside Wayward Pines. However, this expansion mission may not be easy because the Abbies are always on the wait. The exploration may bring new learnings and information about Wayward Pines and the world. It is speculated that these explorations may lead to new plot twists and information that may flip what viewers currently know about the place.
