The wet weather conditions in the summer months at UK are filling the countryside with some amazing splendor, but at the expense of the failing crop harvests. UK might very well see a rise in the price of the food products as a result of failing harvests this summer. The appalling weather conditions in the summer months at UK this year have failed many harvests even though it has filled the countryside with pretty wild flowers and natural beauty.

Beauty and splendor in UK:

The weather conditions experienced by UK this year has not been suitable for the growth and harvest of its crops. The rain caused this year in the summer months has brought about an unexpected winner in the form of orchids that have filled its countryside with beauty and splendor. According to the reports released y the experts last week, there has many rare wild flowers that have developed as a result of the deluge for several months. One of the most prominent among them is the bee orchid flower that has a distinct bee like appearance. The beauty that has emerged from the development of these wild flowers but the expense at which it has come is pretty dear.

Conditions in the country:

Andy Byfield belonging to the charity Plantlife commented on the matter that the conditions this summer in UK have not suited the humans at all but they have practically been ideal for pretty wild flowers like the bee orchid. He also added that previously they had a warm winter season that was released with the rain in the months of March and April. The result of this kind of weather was the flourishing of the bee orchids. There have also been some other plants that have benefited out of the wet summer season in the region. These plants include the Mediterranean annuals like the small restharrow that is distinctive because of its white and pink flowers and the nitgrass. These types of plants flourish well when there are consecutive arid and wet conditions one year after the other. A rain next year will sweep away the gains though and coarse grass will swamp the grounds.

Harm to the crops:

While on one hand the wet conditions have led to the flourishing of these wild flowers the nation's crops on the other hand have met with a disaster. The grapevines have been harmed a lot and the growers of them have had to use special instruments like the blow driers in order to save their harvests. The adverse weather conditions have hampered the development of the grapes during the main flowering season and posed a threat to the life of the fruits if they were not removed. In times of better and suitable weather conditions the vines would have reached the end of the flowering season by this time but that has not happened this year and the wine makers are having a tough time speeding up the flowering process with the help of the driers. They are sincerely awaiting for better weather conditions so as to be of some help to their harvest.
