'Carpe diem', tells the newly devised Tikker watch.
We are often curious to know about the number of years one could live. We could devise a life plan if we did know about it. Finally, here it is! A watch that could predict the death date of the person who wears it.
Yes, you read it right. The watch is called the Tikker watch, also known as 'death watch'. The devise has been created by Fredrik Colting, a Swedish inventor.
It is all that one needs to know that how many years, days, hours, minutes and seconds are left for the wearer before he/she leaves the world. One may think of it as a depressing invention. But the intentions are completely contrary to what one may perceive of it. The inventor likes to call it 'The Happiness Watch'. This is because he believes that knowing about the time left with us would motivate the wearer to make the most of the present and live up to it.

To provide the answer to the 'unanswered question', the watch needs the wearer to answer some questions related to his/her medical history. Upon filling this questionnaire, the age of the wearer is subtracted from the overall result obtained to acquire the death score. Thereafter, the score is recorded in the watch and the countdown commences to the owner's dying age.
"Death pardons none,"-- the watch has been designed with this belief. Colting conceived of the Tikker watch when his grandfather passed away. The idea of this watch was then worked upon by Colting and was supported by the Kickstarter project.
"Imagine someone told you that you only had one year left to live. How would that change your life? For all of us life comes with a best-before date," remarked Colting.
According to him, "While death is non-negotiable, life isn't. All we have to do is learn how to cherish the time and the life that we have been given; seize the day and follow our hearts."
Some of the questions that the wearers would have to answer are related to the sicknesses and allergies along with the details about their drinking and smoking habits. The details required to fill also demand a brief medical history of the disease in the family.
Colting believes that humanity is advancing like never before, but we hardly talk about death, the inevitable event. Thus, it is important for humanity to be aware of their departure from the world, so they could make wiser and proper decisions.
The watch costs $59 and will be shipped in April 2014.
