Portable PC manufacturer Lenovo announced that its new ThinkPad Tablet 2 will be released on October powered by Windows 8 OS.

"Today we are excited to reveal the fruit of this collaborative co-engineering, the ThinkPad Tablet 2, a joint effort between Lenovo, Microsoft and Intel," vice president and general manager of ThinkPad Business Unit Dilip Bhatia said in a press release.

Screen Display - Lenovo's ThinkPad Tablet 2 will have a 10-inch screen size with 1,366 x 768 IPS display. Although the device trails behind other tablets, the pixel resolution is still good.

Operating System - Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 will sport the latest Windows 8 OS. This is the one of the first tablets that will sport the Microsoft's new mobile OS.
