What could be the biggest irony for former Twilight lovers, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart after their recent split are the multiple nominations the couple has received for their roles as the “immortal lovers” in the final installment of Twilight series.

Leading the pack for this year’s Teen Choice Awards, the lovers’ hit film, the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 has received seven nominations, another feat for the film and Robert and Kristen, proving their powerful chemistry on screen.

The former lovers rose to international superstardom with the teens adoration and their recent split would test the impact Robert and Kristen may still have for the millions of tween fans. Voting, which had already begun, is open to fans between 13 and 19. This year’s Teen Choice Awards recognizes hottest celebrities for film, television, music, sports and fashion.

Robert and Kristen broke up on May 18 after the big fight in the morning of Rob’s birthday, May 13. The two reportedly got into a huge argument after Robert accidentally read a text message from Rupert Sanders while Kristen was taking a shower and Rob went for her phone to take some photos.

Though Robert and Kristen didn’t break up that day, Rob reportedly stormed out the house they shared together and demanded that Kristen didn’t join him at a party in celebration of his birthday held at his friends. Kristen then was pictured in a car with her friend, crying. They were never seen together since then and both have been spotted without the other’s company until Rob hauled his stuff to a red pick-up truck on May 19. The couple has never spoken since then until May 23 when Robert was spotted driving in Los Feliz neighborhood again in Kristen’s car.

Though rumors have it that they could get back together, it is uncertain if they will reunite at this year’s Teen Choice Awards. The awarding ceremony will be aired on Fox on August 11, 2013. Voting is now open for teen fans.
