‘Wonder Woman' set photos reveal major storyline spoiler

"Wonder Woman" has officially started filming, and photos from the UK set have been released online. The pictures show Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, and her on-screen love interest Chris Pine, who plays Steve Trevor, dressed in 1900s outfits. According to a recent report, their costume suggests a major spoiler in the timeline of the movie.

A Reddit user named cesar42 shared several photos from the “Wonder Woman” set in the UK. One shot shows Gadot as Diana Prince looking classy in her long trench coat paired with a long skirt under a blue jacket. She also has a bolero hat and a pair of dark boots. The actress’ button-down jacket suggests she could also be playing some kind of officer, according to Polygon.

Another shot from the “Wonder Woman” set in London shows Gadot in her period costume surrounded by several film extras who are also dressed in classic outfits. Two men appear to be dressed in matching military uniforms.

Meanwhile, Pine as Steve Trevor was also photographed dressed for the cold weather with his turtleneck top and a couple of layers of jackets. Compared with Gadot’s outfit, the actor’s period clothing reportedly suggests Trevor does not belong to an affluent family like Prince.

According to Heroic Hollywood, the actors' period clothing confirms the film will be set in the early 20th century. The first part of the movie will be set during the World War I era. Likewise, several film extras were also photographed dressed in military uniforms with rifles slung over their shoulders and marching together on a bridge.

Polygon adds that the telling sign in another photo, which reads, “French money exchanged here for officers and soldiers in uniform” placed above two hanging British flags, clearly confirms the early 20th Century timeline in “Wonder Woman.”

A photo of Pine dressed for his role as Steve Trevor in “Wonder Woman” first emerged in early November. Actor Said Taghmaoui shared his photo with Pine while in the UK set of filming but deleted the snap soon after.

Meanwhile, this is the first time photos of Gadot dressed as Diana Prince have been revealed online. The actress will debut Wonder Woman in the 2016 film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
