'Wonder Woman' Solo Movie: Gal Gadot May Have Six New Costumes
Gal Gadot may be seen in six different costumes as “Wonder Woman,” according to a new report. The actress will first be seen playing the role in the 2016 movie “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The director of the movie has already shared the costume the actress will be wearing in the upcoming movie.
According to a report by media journalist El Mayimbe on his Instagram account, Gal Gadot will be seen wearing at least six “new looks” for her cheater Diana Prince in the 2017 solo movie “Wonder Woman.” The report also points out that the shooting for the movie will begin this fall.
Two of the six costumes in the movie are said to be a “dive suit” and a “more classic standard costume.” It is unclear if in the upcomig movie Gal Gadot will also be seen in the bronze costume that Zack Snyder shared from the movie “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Fans of the franchise had compared the costume to that of the protagonist in the TV show “Xena: Warrior Princess” on social media.
The standard costume of “Wonder Woman” mentioned in the report may refer to the red top and blue shorts that the character is seen wearing in the comic books. This was also the costume design worn by Lynda Carter in the 1970s TV show of the character.
Commenting on the report, some of the fans expressed their excitement about seeing Gal Gadot as “Wonder Woman.” The discussion, however, soon turned towards whether or not the actress is suitable for the role. Some of the fans hoped that the actress would prove her critics wrong by delivering a great performance in the movie.
Most of the criticism for the actress seems to focus on her physical appearance, saying that she does not have sufficient muscle for the role. “Worst choice unless she puts on 20-30 lbs of muscle,” read one of the comments. Gal Gadot addressed such comments previously, as per a report by TheIndependent.
Confronting criticisms that said that she was “too skinny” for the role as “Wonder Woman,” Gal Gadot dismissed such remarks as “empty talk.” The report also includes some praise for the actress by director Zack Snyder, who believes that the actress has a “magical quality” that makes her “perfect for the role.”
