WWE WrestleMania 33: Final card nearly set, 11 matches confirmed for showpiece event

The final card for WWE WrestleMania 33 is nearly set with up to 11 matches pencilled in for sports entertainment's annual extravaganza. WWE's showpiece event will emanate from the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, on Apr. 2.

The pay-per-view will be headlined by the third and final clash between iconic behemoths, Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg, besides a possible retirement match for The Undertaker against Roman Reigns. Also, all the championships from the Raw and Smackdown brands will be defended in a series of singles or multi-superstars matches.

Basketball hall-of-famer Shaquille O'Neal will headline the celebrity quotient of the even when he locks horns with fellow seven-footer The Big Show. Meanwhile, John Cena and girlfriend Nikki Bella are rumoured to face the real-life couple of The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team match. The potential feud was set up during Sunday's Elimination Chamber event when Bella gave Maryse a wardrobe malfunction before Cena pinned Miz during the main event championship match.

Another high-profile match will feature Triple H squaring off against former on-screen pupil, Seth Rollins. The latter is currently recuperating from a torn MCL that he suffered during a beat down at the hands of Samoa Joe. Also, Kevin Owens is expected to face Chris Jericho, a match that was set up during Monday's edition of Raw when WWE Universal Champion attacked his former "best friend".

According to The Mirror, former WWE champion AJ Styles is expected to face Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon. The report also teases a Raw women's championship match featuring champion Bayley, Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax, besides a title defence for Naomi, the Smackdown women's champion.

Dean Ambrose is expected to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Baron Corbin, who attacked "the lunatic fringe" after suffering a pin fall during Sunday's Elimination Chamber event. The Mirror notes that the tag titles from both brands will also be up for grabs. "The tag team titles will surely be on the line too. For Smackdown Live, American Alpha have The Usos to answer to.
