X-Class Solar Flare Adds To Four Events On Mayan's Doomsday Deju Vu Of 2014
Our sun has fired an X3.3-graded solar flare recently, which is the most powerful of the year. Mayan's doomsday prophecy includes solar flares, strong typhoons, deadly earthquakes, massive volcanic eruptions and bashing celestial bodies to Earth.
X Class Solar Flare
Our Earth is protected against powerful solar winds and other radiation from space but an X-Class solar flare with great intensity can knock-off power and signals on the planet. Last Tuesday at 5:26 a.m. EST, a powerful solar flare triggered a radio blackout according to NOAA-led Space Weather Prediction Centre. It has been classified as X1-class event, which one of the strongest types of storms the sun can have. Fortunately, the solar flare was not aimed directly at the Earth.
A direct hit of the solar flares at the Earth can cause radiation poisoning humans, risk spacecraft and shutdown electric-dependent objects.
Unusual Typhoons
Typhoon Haiyan killed more than 5,533 people in Asia and cost billions of damages to infrastructure and agriculture. Powerful typhoons classified as Category 5 are not common. Scientists expect more severe storms in future. Global warming and climate change are beginning to take its toll as Mother Nature gets angrier each day.
New Earthquake Faults
Both East and West have encountered at least magnitude 7 earthquakes and these massive groundshakes can create new faults which doesn't exist before. New faults can increase areas which will be affected by future earthquakes. Moreover, earthquakes can destroy land, cause landslide and avalanches, fires, weakness of soil and tsunamis.
Volcanic Eruptions
Seven volcanic eruptions occured in six different countries with hours apart.
- Japan's volcano in Nishino-Shima Island
- Colima volcano of Mexico
- Fire Mountain of Guatemala
- Yasur volcano in Vanuatu at the Pacific
- Mt. Elna in Italy
- Mt. Sinabung in Indonesia
- Mt. Merapi in Java
Celestial Bodies
Comets and meteorites are beautiful, glowing celestial objects for skyline viewing but once they go wild, hitting Earth can be very dangerous. Science may predict the exact path of any celestial body hovering in space before it reaches a target but it is not impossible for Earth to be hit by a chunky rock and we cannot control the Earth to dodge it.
