‘X Factor’ Australia 2016 spoilers: Mel B returns to reveal her underdogs; fans clamour to bring Beatz back in the competition [VIDEO]
Reality shows goes “live and dangerous” on Oct. 23
The competition heats up on Sunday’s live episode of “X Factor” Australia 2016, packed with a big comeback, shocking revelations and intense rivalry among the judges.
In a teaser video posted on its official Facebook page, Mel B announces that she’s back to reveal her underdogs. Fellow “X Factor” Australia judge Iggy Azalea is not happy at all, declaring that she’s the former Spice Girl member’s number one competition. “If Mel B wins, I would never sleep at night,” the 26-year-old Australian rapper says.
On Monday, Iggy named her top three groups after the daunting three-chair challenge. Following a series of swaps, Iggy gave the slots to brother-and-sister duo Brentwood, girl group Montage and boyband Time and Place. Now, Mel B has the opportunity to choose among the groups that were sent home: Fifth Element, Aroza , FD3, The Dennis Sisters and Beatz.

Montage managed to bump off the other female trio Beatz, who earlier won a seat after singing Meghan Trainor’s “Me Too.” Judge Guy Sebastian loved their rendition, noting that they are all equally good. Adam Lambert, on the other hand, was less enthusiastic but still liked the Beatz’s polished performance. However, he wasn’t a fan of the coloured shoes that were different for each girl. Iggy agreed but decided to make room for the group in her top three.
They didn’t sit on the chair too long – Montage stole their spot after performing “Break Free” by Arianna Grande. While Adam reckoned that their harmonies were a little pitchy and not as polished as Beatz, Guy described them as “beast singers.” Fans of “X Factor” Australia 2016 had mixed emotions about Iggy’s decision to swap Beatz with Montage. Some agreed with her choice, but the others reckoned that she made a huge mistake.
Beatz followers hope that Mel B would bring the group back in the competition. The girls made quite an impression after nailing Arianna Grande’s “Problem” in an earlier episode, including Iggy’s rap [watch below]. If Mel B chooses Beatz and they win this year’s “X Factor” title, Iggy will definitely regret her decision. After all, she’s determined to be the first mentor to have a winning group.
Fans just have to wait for judge Mel B’s decision on Sunday’s episode, which will be made even more exciting with a live performance by “Australian Idol” runner-up Jessica Mauboy. The 27-year-old singer is currently busy with her acting role on “The Secret Daughter,” which also stars "Home and Away" alum Bonnie Sveen.
