The seventh live show of “X-Factor Australia” season 7 showed off the amazing vocal talents of the remaining 5 contenders. Some of the performances that wowed the judges were fan favourites Cyrus Villanueva and singing duo Jess and Matt.

Monday’s “X-Factor Australia” quarterfinals live show started with Villanueva showing off his vocal profess with his amazing rendition of Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do,” according to Yahoo 7 TV. Villanueva’s mentor Chris Isaak’s song choice was a hit among the judges. Judge Guy Sebastian even commented that the aspiring Filipino-Australian’s performance was “absolute magic” and stated that Villanueva is “a force to be reckoned with” in the competition.

Meanwhile, Sebastian’s song choice for Jess and Matt also paid off, when the two performed a track from the movie “Grease” titled “You’re the One that I Want.” Season 7 “X-Factor Australia” judge James Blunt commended Sebastian for his “awesome song choice” and complimented the “awesome arrangement” which featured a less lively rendition of the "Grease" track.

Jess and Matt’s rendition of “You’re the One that I Want” also debuted on the top 10 list of Australia’s latest iTunes chart performance. The duo’s cover is the only “X-Factor Australia” season 7 quarterfinals song that made it to iTunes latest list.

Blunt was the only one who was amazed with Jess and Matt's performance, “X-Factor Australia” judges Dannii Minogue and Isaak were also impressed with Sebastian’s song choice. In the reality competition’s official Twitter account, two short video clips of their reactions were posted online. Minogue’s comment on the Twitter video clip was a simple “whoaaaa,” while Isaak stated on his Twitter clip that Sebastian was “either a genius or… crazy.”

Other top 5 “X-Factor Australia” season 7 contenders also amazed fans with their seventh live show performances such as Louise Adams who received a standing ovation for her rendition of Annie Lennox’s “I Put A Spell On You.” Big T also gave his all with his cover of John Legend’s “All of Me,” while Mahalia Simpson performed Macy Gray’s “I Try.”
