‘X-Factor USA’ judge, Demi Lovato could not help being emotional when giving a heart-warming speech during her gig in Chicago, noting the place is close to her heart for “saving her life.”

Always open about her troubles, Demi paused for a minute and gave a touching speech at the weekend event held at the B96 Pepsi Summer Bash in Chicago, and thanked her fans at the Windy City for their support during “her darker times.”

Not far from where her last show took place over the weekend, Demi got herself admitted into a center 27 miles from south west from Chicago. She received treatment from the Timberline Knolis treatment centre in Lemont, Illinois, three years ago. And this, she said, had helped her a great deal to get out of her mess.

Demi has had her fair share of troubles with eating disorder, bullying and substance abuse as she was growing up to be a lady that she is now. The 20-year-old Latina singer has since then overcome his demons and has risen up from the darker times.

The Heart Attack hitmaker sure didn’t want her fans to think she had forgotten.

“I just want you guys to know that when I come to Chicago, I never forget that this place is the place that saved my life. If anybody out there is dealing with an eating disorder, substance abuse, cutting, bullying, whatever it is - I want you guys to know that I've been through it and that I've gotten through it and you can do it too," Demi was quoted as saying on stage, urging her supporters not to fret and fight the same battle she did (and more) and not be afraid of them.

Demi has recently returned for Season 3 of ‘X-Factor’ USA 2013 when Simon, who has greatly believed in her, asked her for another run. She is joined by judges Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio, both great music artists in their own rights.

The Latina singer’s recent single, “Heart Attack,” shot up to a huge success, with over 60 million views on YouTube.
