Xiaomi has been heavily rumoured to be working on a smartphone that won’t feature any side bezels. A new leaked photo of the purported Xiaomi Mi5 has surfaced that shows the flagship to come equipped with a marvelous edge-to-edge screen.

Xiaomi Mi5 has not been officially announced yet. However, the rumour mill is already talking a lot about its expected features. The Xiaomi Mi5 leaked photo published on The Android Soul is blurry but the 100 percent bezel-less construction on its sides can be clearly seen. Moreover, the Xiaomi flagship appears to be quite similar to the recently launched Mi Note and Mi Note Pro smartphones.

The official name of the Xiaomi Mi4 successor is still under the wraps. Various reports from different sites on the successor model are referring to it with names like Xiaomi Mi4s or Xiaomi Mi5. GSM Arena has already listed the rumoured specifications of the Xiaomi Mi5 with an expected release time of February 2015.

According to GSM Arena, the AnTuTu benchmark of the Xiaomi Mi5 reveals that the handset is going to be powered by Snapdragon 801 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. It was previously speculated to come with Snapdragon 805 or 810 chipset along with 3 GB of RAM.

The Android Soul states that even though the Xiaomi Mi5 features the same Snapdragon 801 chipset that lies under the hood of the Xiaomi Mi4, the benchmark score of Mi5’s SoC is higher than of the SoC present inside the Mi4. The Snapdragon 801 of Xiaomi Mi4 recorded a benchmark score of 42,000 points. However, the very same chipset inside the unannounced successor has been tweaked to deliver high performance as it reached a score of 46,866 points.

The AnTuTu benchmarks did not reveal the size of the display. However, The Android Soul claims that it either house a 5.2-inch or a 5.7-inch display with support for Quad HD resolution. The handset is expected to be available in three internal storage variants like 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB and it will be packed with an enormous battery of 3600 mAh capacity.
