It is not the first time that Xiaomi was pointed to have a device that looks similar to other smartphones such as the iPhone 6. The latest report from BGR says Xiaomi's Mi 4 has big similarities to the wooden back design of Motorola's Moto X.

Apparently, the Mi 4 is a mix of Apple and Motorola's popular devices. Based on the photos on the website (originally from lowyat.net), one would have mistaken Xiaomi's flagship for the iPhone 5s when looking at the front of the device. On the other side, its back shows great resemblance to the wooden finish of the Moto X.

Know Your Mobile reports the Mi 4's aesthetics have obviously been inspired by Apple's iPhone 4 and iPhone 5s' design. Some of its similarities are the stainless steel banding around its sides and the white plastic inserts in the frame. The location of the speakers and the metal chassis fronted by a Gorilla Glass screen in the Mi 4 are also similar to the iPhone.

Xiaomi's flagship is clearly being accused of copying designs of famous handheld devices of major players in the market. Some consumers even ask if the specs and features have been copied as well by the Chinese company. This can be answered by taking a look at the features and power under the hood of the Chinese-produced smartphone.

Xiaomi made sure the specs of its flagship device would be at par with other high-end flagships in the market. The 5-inch smartphone is powered by Qualcomm 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB onboard storage. However, the company did not equip the device with a microSD slot for expandability.

Additionally, the Mi 4 sports a display with a full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. It also has connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The phone has both 3G and 4G variants, but the 4G is available only in China.

Xiaomi's smart device also comes with 13-MP rear camera plus an 8-MP front-facing snapper and is packed with 3,080 mAh battery. The Mi 4 has an off-contract cost of $370, while the Moto X with premium wood-designed back costs $425 off-contract.
