Original air date on CBS: Feb. 23
A health crisis will make or break a couple that has been together since the 90s on “The Young and the Restless.” In the meantime, a mother and son drama ensues with a teenager growing up and wanting to spread his own wings.
Previously, Jill Atkinson (Jess Walton) urged Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to go to work and he agrees that he has been hanging around to keep Collin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) preoccupied. Jill gets irked. They debated whether or not Colin sees her as a way to feed himself. Jill has some issues that she would like to discuss with her husband and is upset at Billy asking the nurses to keep him outside. Billy told her to rest well and that he loves her, but Jill did not respond.

Later on, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) warned Collin to stay away from Jill or else Billy would get him arrested. Colin is insistent and he feels that his marriage will survive the odds if he can do things right. Cane realized that Colin wanted him to approach Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and said that his brother-in-law is no bank. Colin will have to explain things to Jill. Cane gets offended that Colin did not even bother to acknowledge that it is a big day for him and Lily.
In this upcoming episode, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) will apologise to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) will wonder what wrong he has been doing. Nikki and Sharon agree to a truce. Reed gets the spotlight. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will find out about Reed playing during open mic night from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Colin will ask for forgiveness.
According to Soaps She Knows, while Colin is having a hard time reaching out to his wife, there are many possible ways to make this happen. One would be through the business investment that he had made with his wife’s money, which he has to pay off. The show could go to that direction just so these two could stay together.
It is no doubt that Jill’s heart attack was directly triggered by her husband having emptied her bank account. It is highly possible that her realisation of that theft could have started her health crisis. However, it is also likely that her illness is brought about by something else entirely.
This episode of “The Young and the Restless” will air on CBS on Feb. 23 in the US. It will also air on Arena in Australia.
