'The Young and the Restless' spoilers for July 4, 2016: Billy and Phyllis are in love; Ian takes another hostage

The Fourth of July episode of “The Young and the Restless” will be action packed. Everybody will be in shock after the courthouse shooting.

During the episode, Adam (Justin Hartley) will have a problem with the plan he is concocting. It seems it will backfire because he will be blamed for the escape scheme that Ian (Ray Wise) pulled off, Celebrity Dirty Laundry shares.

After Victor (Eric Braeden) was hospitalized, he will be confronted by Meredith (Alicia Coppola). It is unknown if Victor’s condition is bad or not. However, during the time he was shot, Adam was telling him not to die on them because they were not yet finished with settling their case.

During the episode, Sharon (Sharon Case) will be having a meeting with the doctor, which she was supposed to do for the longest time. She was tricked by Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) to go get checked. This is because of her worsening condition with the hallucinations and paranoia attacks.

The episode will also be hot and steamy when Billy (Jason Thompson ) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) share an intimate moment in the Abbot cabin. Billy wants to have a life with her now. However, she is unsure and does not want to tell Jack (Peter Bergman) about them. They talk about how they would mess Jack’s life if they come clean about their secret love. Nonetheless, Phyllis tells him “I love you” then asks him to leave her alone in the cabin so that she can think.

Little did they know that Ian was on the way to the cabin with Nikki (Melody Scott) as a hostage. Billy leaves Phyllis in the cabin, just before Ian arrives. Now, Ian is able to get another hostage by taking Phyllis with him.

Things will heat up in the cabin as Ian threatens the life of the two women, whom he tied up. Nikki and Phyllis team up and use reverse psychology on Ian. Phyllis offers to shoot Nikki if Ian will give the gun to her. The suspense builds as Ian becomes increasingly threatening.

Billy will see Jack in the club and casually talks to him. Billy asks him about his marriage. Jack will share that there might be something wrong with Phyllis and that her getting drunk the night before may be a sign of a deeper issue. Jack suddenly asks Billy how he knew about his marriage situation. Billy covers up and Jack tells him that there is nothing that can come between him and Phyllis, Soap She Knows says.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays on CBS. It also airs on Arena in Australia.
