The episode synopsis on Soaps She Knows teases viewers of “The Young and the Restless” as to how the situation will turn out on August 10, Wednesday.
The synopsis says that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will create a trap. Things get much more romantic a little later when Summer starts readying herself for her future with Luca. Lastly, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) comes to bring bad news to the family.
It was earlier shown that Phyllis Abbot (Gina Tognoni) was vocal in her disapproval of the engagement while Victor shows Summer some support but says that there is no guarantee that Luca will be hired. Unfortunately, as what has been suspected by viewers even earlier; it seems Victor was setting up a trap all along. After all, Victor and Phyllis are now on the same team as they try to tear the young couple apart and, possibly, cancel the engagement.
This, however, shows that Summer is just as determined to marry Luca as soon as they can and start forever together. After finding out that she is not pregnant, things shift to a more romantic view as they start thinking of spending a lot of time with each other. The problem is, Phyllis knew how Luca used Summer and cannot forgive him for that.
It has been teased earlier in Celeb Dirty Laundry that Nick has opened up about his concerns that his father is going to cut him off Newman Enterprises. What kind of bad news he brings will only be known once this episode goes on air.
“The Young and the Restless” airs on CBS every Monday to Friday in the US. It also airs on Arena in Australia.
