One might think these are stills from a new zombie thriller movie, but they aren't.

"Undead fans" roamed the streets of Vienna in a zombie flash mob to celebrate the Slash Film Festival, an annual celebration of fantasy, horror, thriller, animation and science fiction movies. The festival runs through Friday, bringing diverse genre fans together.

Zombies have been a staple of popular culture since George Romero's famous films such as "Night of the Living Dead" and "Diary of the Dead". Now that the AMC series "The Walking Dead" is nearing its second season premiere, and with the filiming of the "World War Z" movie on the works, zombie fanatics are in for a real treat in the months ahead.
