Zooey Deschanel Graces Cover of Allure

"New Girl's'" hit comedian Zooey Deschanel graces the cover of Allure magazine and the actress is indeed "alluring" on the cover with the perfect caption to describe her: Hollywood's Cutest Weirdo.

You've seen her as the adorkable Jess on the show "New Girl" where she copes with a break-up and deals with three grown-up men from her flat. She deals with the normalcy of life and the perils of dating, love and everything in between. So far the show is a hit and everyone just loves Zooey but that wasn't necessarily the case when the "it" girl was growing up.

The "500 Days of Summer" star reveals more of her quirky self in the February issue of Allure. Despite being so popular now, Zooey was actually a victim of bullying.

"Girls spit in my face, people were so mean to me, I'd cry every day,' shared Zooey. Even now she's under the constant eye for criticism on the web especially when it's about her hairstyle. Zooey is known for her signature black locks and bangs.

"I'm bangs and eye. It's who I am. There have been periods when I've grown my bangs out, but I always cut them back, so it's like, why go through the trouble?" says the star. So she gets scrutinized like everybody else and despite being compared to singer Katy Perry, Zooey remains positive and happy.

Like Katy Perry, Zooey is also a divorcee from "Death Cab for Cuties'" lead singer Ben Gibbard. Though one would think she'd steer clear from music after being married to a musician, Zooey ironically has a music group of her own. Her Indie duo, She & Him, is another stint the actress and singer is busy about apart from her "New Girl" show.

Zooey indeed proves she's no ordinary "it" girl but it is however a laughable matter for the being called one.

"It' girl is supposed to be something that only lasts a certain amount of time," says Zoe. "They keep calling me an 'It' girl and at this point it makes me laugh, because they've done that so many times: 'You're it', 'You're not it'. "What is 'It'?" continues Zooey.

Whatever she may call herself, one thing is for sure, Zooey is Hollywood's quirkiest and cutest "It" girl. She's got a birthday card from the President of the US to prove that.
