A lot of people cannot wait for the inception of the new iPhone 5 later this year. However, some people are not at all hyped with the release of another iOS device in the market.

The sixth generation of iPhone 5 is expected to wow crtics and shake the tech world with the release of its 2012 flagship phone.

In addition with the iPhone 5 rumors, it is speculated that Apple will also release its version of 7-inch tablet or iPad Mini. New evidence strengthened this rumor, which shows an internal email sent to the executives of Apple citing a proposal of making a 7-inch tablet.

However, some people could not care less about the updates. For them, new iOS devices are no longer appealing. Below are the 10 reasons why some people will not buy the new iPhone 5 or iPad Mini.

1. The transition from one product to another is so fast.

Many consumers are complaining about the swift transition from one product to another. Some people say that when they buy the latest Apple gadget, rumors about its successor are starting to go viral on the web and left them dissatisfied and with the feeling that they are did not buy the best gadget in the market.

Moreover, tech insiders said that Apple are already working on the updates of the newly-released devices the moment it was launched.

2. Apps can be very expensive.

One of the good things about the new gadgets today is that users are able to download useful apps that will make their lives more convenient. However, apps can be very expensive and can accumulate cost over time. A perfect example is the story of Madison Kay, an eight-year-old from Rockville, Md., unwittingly spent $1,400 buying Smurfberries while playing the game "Smurfs' Village" on the family iPad.

3. People are getting dependent on the iOS devices.

iPhone and iPad seem to offer everything from music to movies to different apps you need in your daily life. However, because of the wide array of things that these devices offer, people are becoming more dependent and attached with the devices. Some people cannot live without their iOS gadgets.

4. People tend to spend more with accessories compatible with iOS devices.

Unfortunately, not all accessories are compatible with Apple products. Thus, people will have to buy third party products and accessories especially made for the products, which can be very expensive.

5. The devices look the same with minor tweaks and updates.

Some people are unsatisfied with the lack of innovative design of iOS devices. Apple sticks to its minimalist design. However, this has become tiring for some people. Moreover, new versions that roll out only bring minor tweaks and upgrades.

6. Sky high prices.

One of the complaints toward Apple products is the hefty price tags of the devices. Other companies offer cheaper alternatives to Apple products. This is one of Samsung's advantages over the Cupertino-based company by offering inexpensive yet high quality devices.

7. Apple's own sales talk

Apple has learned an effective marketing strategy by not to talk about the tech specifications and price of the device but how you can incorporate it with your lifestyle. Some Apple stores target the kids who will force their parents to buy the products. Apple will say that the device will be beneficial to kids' education and entertainment. This strategy is very effective yet misleading and deceptive on the part of the consumers.

8. Lagging features

Some consumers prefer that Apple will follow the lead of Android in releasing revolutionary features. A consumer said she ditched her iPhone because of its small screen. She cannot read and type anything with the smartphone since she has myopia and fat fingers. In reponse to this, iPhone 4S is equipped with voice assistant Siri; however, the features does not live up to the expectations of many.

9. Monopolizing the tech market.

Apple is continuously developing one-stop shop. Apple has iTunes, App Store, iCloud and its own iOS that offers consumers everything they need with the device. Once you are an iOS device user, you will use other products of Apple. This eradicates competition.

10. Apple ignores working conditions in supply chain.

One of the concerns forwarded to Apple is the harsh working conditions in some companies supplying tech parts to the Cupertino-based company. For example, Foxconn is supplying tech parts to Apple but is reported to have numerous suicides committed by its employees. As one of the world's biggest company, Apple can do some changes in this aspect.
