12.9-inch Apple ‘iPad Pro’ Speculated To Arrive Early 2015
In October, Apple is expected to reveal new iPad Air models. According to The Commercial Times, the Cupertino company will only launch only an upgraded edition of 9.7-inch iPad Air. The source claims that the new model of iPad Mini will arrive in the coming year.
According to Bloomberg, a new large sized 12.9inch Apple iPad is in the making and it is expected to be available by early next year. The 12.9inch iPad release date is not yet known and even the official name of the product has not been revealed. The new tablet is going to be slightly smaller than the MacBook Air.
Apple has not even confirmed whether they are currently building a larger iPad. It is also rumoured that the Cupertino based tech firm is working a new edition of iPad Mini.
If you go by the speculations surrounding the biggest iPad ever, Apple has been working on it for quite some time and people have been referring to it as the 'iPad Pro'.
At present, the iPad is available in two size variants, 7.9inch and 9.7inch. According to a research done by Business Insider Intelligence listed with BusinessInsider, the current sales report of iPads indicates that the sales growth of tablets from Apple is consistently declining. This is the reason why the Cupertino company is considering to sell iPads to bigger enterprises by partnering with IBM.
Manufacturing a large sized iPad can also be an attempt from Apple to make the audience feel that the new tablet is portable enough to replace their laptops. Like the Surface Pro 3 which works a tablet and when you hook up a keyword, it doubles up as a laptop, even the new 12.inch iPad may work as a laptop by connecting a keyboard.
According to AppleInsider, Ming-Chi Kuo, a famous tech analyst from KGI Securities, who has been quite accurate with iProducts predictions in the past, has also confirmed that 12.9inch iPad is in the making. He feels that the jumbo iPad won't arrive this year. He added that the developers will have to modify the iOS platform to work seamlessly on the large screen of the new tablet.
