Apple is rumoured to be working on a large-sized 12.9-inch iPad tablet. It is being referred to as iPad Pro. As of now, iPad Pro release date has not been officially released and very few details of the larger iPad are available. New reports indicate that the iPad Pro is will be running on A8X SoC which is an improved edition of A8 CPU.

A report from Bloomberg states that the iPad Pro will arrive in the coming year and GforGames claim that it will arrive in the second quarter of the coming year.

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus handsets are going to be hit 22 more countries on Sept 26. Also, Apple has plenty of other products waiting in pipeline.

The Apple Watch is to soon going to arrive. The official Apple Watch release date has not been revealed yet. The iPad Air successor dubbed as iPad Air 2 and the successor of iPad Mini with Retina Display referred to as iPad Mini 3 with Retina are expected to be officially launched in October.

GforGames claims that the iPad Air 2 may hit the shelves by the end of 2014. The iPad Mini 3 with Retina is expected to hit the stands by the coming year.

The source states that a report coming from Taiwan indicates that the iPad Pro will be powered by an enhanced A8X SoC. The inclusion of 'X' indicates that X series is coming back. Apple had launched the upgraded versions of A5 and A6 series as A5X and A6X. However, Apple did not follow the same process for A7. Until now Apple has not launched an A7X variant.

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are running on the latest A8 processor. The same is expected to power up the upcoming iPad Air 2. Citing a Taiwanese source, GforGames claims that with the support of TSMC, Apple will be making an A8X SoC.

AppleInsider claims that the A8 processor's GPU is plagued with scaling issues on the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus that supports 401 ppi. GSMArena adds that if the iPad Pro really comes with A8X, the GPU of the chipset has to be improved to support the extra pixels of the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
