The Google house has been a busy hive in the past few days, apparently prepping for a major product to break out before the current week ends - that of the very much anticipated LG Nexus 5 release date.

D-day falls on Nov 1, according to Android watchers, and they point to two hot incidents that seem to jive with the notion that finally, after days of whispers and speculations, the Nexus 5 is landing and will go live on Google Play Store.

Prior to that, of course, an announcement from Google is scheduled on Oct 31, Gotta Be Mobile said in a report, pointing to Twitter user @GavinPhelan12 as its source.

The hope is for the KitKat 4.4-powered device to finally come out of the box and this expectation is anchored on two reasons listed below:

Fresh image leaks

The best way to convince the Nexus 5 is hitting the market is providing images of the handset and leakers in Asia willingly obliged. GBM picked up a fresh bunch of what looked like as the powered on and fully working LG-built Android device.

It certainly looked the same with previously published pics of the Nexus 5 yet the most important thing about the images is the story behind them, Per Taiwan's Blog of Mobile, the shots taken pertain to the gadget's NCC filing procedure, which the blog site said is Taiwan's government agency that handles electronic products' accreditation prior to their wide release.

The logic adds up - LG is Asia-based and it naturally wants to circulate the product not only in the U.S. but also in markets where it will also sell in large volume. Plus the pics really match the ones that leaked out in the past weeks, some even coming from Google.

Play Store changes

The first outlet, that is the Google Play Store, where the Nexus 5 will be displayed has undergone some minor but interesting modifications. The first is to make the Nexus 5 order page more optimal for consumer navigation so buyers will easily find their way into purchasing the gadget, GBM said.

And there were some applications that were updated, purportedly to gear them for use on the new smartphone. As many as 14 apps were bumped up to new versions but the actual push out will have to wait until the Nexus 5 is ready for action.

So unlike last week, the ongoing inside Google seems to hint that the Nov 1 Nexus 5 outing is for real, this time around.

The only question left to be answered is, if indeed the Nexus 5 release date turns out as true how soon buyers will get their hands on the vanilla smartphone? Will it be few days only or weeks and even months like last year with the Nexus 4 debacle?
