2 Ways Google Nexus 2015 On Release Date Will Kill iPhone 7: Always-On Net Access & Affordable Cost
Google is reportedly ready to roll out its MVNO service dubbed as Google Wireless that according to reports will initially work only on Nexus smartphones, the Nexus 6 specifically. If true, then consumers can also access the service once the Google Nexus 2015 release date becomes a reality.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Google Wireless is launching Wednesday this week following over two years of development and preparation. The backbone of the MVNO infrastructure will mostly depend on the existing facilities by U.S. telcos Sprint and T-Mobile.
The idea behind the concept is make Google services always to available to users and the Internet search giant is making it happen in two approaches. One is to offer flagship devices – smartphones and tablets with high-end specs and feature but with relatively cheaper price tags compared to the completion, chiefly Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy phones.
Complementing that tactic is Google Wireless, which observers said could serve as a giant slayer, specifically of the upcoming iPhone 7. Two key features of Google’s MVNO are seen to boost the chances of the Nexus 2015 defeating the current and next iPhone models:
Always-on Internet connection
Google is convinced that to get ahead of the pack, users of its services must be given easy and affordable access to the Internet. The Nexus devices partially fulfilled that mission and the tech giant is making sure that Nexus smartphones are always connected via the company’s MVNO.
Per the Journal, Nexus 6 users will get a first taste of Google Wireless and logic dictates that by default the service will be extended to would-be buyers of the Google Nexus 2015. This translates to Nexus fans enjoying uninterrupted broadband wireless services.
Such will be made possible by allowing Nexus 6 and the next Nexus users to switch between Sprint and T-Mobile. And in locations where the two networks’ service signals are two weak, Google plans to collaborate with owners of Wi-Fi routers so Google Wireless users can readily and securely connect with these terminals.
Affordable pricing
Google Wireless will come with a management app, according to 9to5Mac, and its main function is to ensure that users will have full control of their data usage. The key benefit would be consumers would only pay for the amount of data that they download in a given payment cycle.
And in the event of any excess data allowance, this will be carried over to the succeeding month, 9to5Mac said. Paired with the solid sticker price that normally comes with the Nexus flagship device, the Google combo offering promises the best bang for the bucks that users will shell out.
Rumoured to be the repurposed LG G4 or the phablet LG G4 Note, the Google Nexus 2015 release date is pegged between October and November this year. The device will likely intro the next Android build, which reports said could be called Android 6.0 Muffin.
