The former winner of 2005 Australian Idol Kate DeAraugo admitted that she went through complete liposuction procedure.

During the season of her winning, she was given a huge wave of support from the public fans and went through the said procedure after the hit show.

On DeAuraugo's latest interview with Insider, the actress said that nobody knew at all and that she is presently doing a brand new reality show called 'Excess Baggage.'

The 26-year-old singer who weighs at 100kg revealed that she was truly pressured with the intensifying challenge of the show since she was suffering from being overweight since she was 15 years old.

The singer even felt at one point in her life that her being overweight is a huge trauma and that she felt being skinny would be the answer to her problems. After winning the said show, she was able to release one solo album before she eventually joined 'The Young Divas' in 2008.

"It was full-body, some outrageous amount of incisions in my body and was just horrendous," DeAraugo said of the time she went through the procedure.

"There's really nothing that I haven't done to get skinny. I was always told life will be better when I'm thin," the singer added.

The singer also knew then that despite her hard work on working for an album two years ago, the album could not be marketed not because of the quality of her voice, but because of her looks.

Catch 'Excess Baggage' and know more of Kate DeAraugo's weight struggle as the show gets aired next year.
