After visiting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which holds the top pick in the rookie draft later this year, top quarterback prospect Jameis Winston is also set to visit with the Tennessee Titans, which has the second pick, for a private workout in this offseason of the National Football League, or NFL.

The Buccaneers and Titans ended up with the worst records in the 2014 regular season and both needs a starting quarterback in their line-up. The top prospects in the 2015 NFL Draft include Winston and another QB in Marcus Mariotta and both are expected to go 1-2, in either order, in the annual rookie selection set on April 30, 2015. Albert Breer, reporter for the NFL Network, updated the Winston visit to Tennessee on Twitter.

There are some concerns about both Mariotta and Winston for the top teams picking in the draft. Mariotta, who was the 2014 Heisman Trophy winner in the NCAA, is considered a top prospect but many NFL observers doubt that he’s NFL-ready in his first few years in the league. Winston, who was the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner, is also a good project but the same NFL observers question his maturity off the field when he reaches the professional football level.

Earlier in the offseason, Winston already visited with the Buccaneers, which hosted the QB prospect very early in the teams’ evaluation process of the players coming in to the league which was considered unprecedented by NFL standards. The move is interpreted as the Buccaneers clear intention to draft Winston as the top overall pick in the draft.

The 21 year old Winston played for the Florida State University Seminoles in 2013 and 2014 NCAA seasons. In two years, he had a total of 7,964 passing yards on 562 of 851 completions, or 66.0% completion rate, with 65 touchdowns plus 7 rushing touchdowns.
