Surprisingly, even with casting for "Fifty Shades of Grey" far off schedule, rumours of casting for the roel of Christian Grey continue to sprout from one point to the next on the web. Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill and Ian Somerhalder are in fact three of the top contenders for the role of Christian Grey. While these three may perfectly portray the dominant 27-year old entrepreneur, there are a plethora of other actors suited for the role of Christian Grey.

E.L. James novel continues to be the talk of the town. The book set for a film adaptation will be hitting the theatres by summer of 2014 which has got a lot of fans antsy for the movie. While Universal Studios is quite busy searching for a possible director, fans of the BDSM-themed novels are rounding up potential Hollywood stars that could portray the lead characters, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

Alexis Bledel is currently in the lead to play the 22-year old virginal college student, Anastasia Steele. Following close to Bledel on a few polls are Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" and Felicity Jones of "Like Crazy."

On the other hand, Matt Bomer of "White Collar" has continuously been the top contender for the role of Christian Grey. Following close to Bomer are Henry Cavill of "Man of Steel" and Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries."
