Google's final big push for 2013, to be reflected by the twin LG Nexus 5 and Asus Nexus 10 release date, is likely to happen on Oct 14 and there are numerous evidences backing up this likelihood.

As the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C from Apple have already materialised, all eyes are beginning to focus on the iOS devices' rival, which for many is the Google-LG produced Nexus 5.

This vanilla Android handset, according to many reports, will arrive on Oct 14, and along with it, Google will also push out the 2013 build of the Nexus 10. Together, these gadgets will tussle with Apple's complete iOS device lineup as the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 are believed to debut on Oct 15.

While nothing is written in stone, Android watchers are convinced something really BIG is exploding in Google's universe on Oct 14 and listed below are the three evidences supporting the assertions.

Previous builds of Nexus devices are jumping to Jelly Bean 4.3

This has been the case since late July and early August this year when Google started dispatching what turned out as the final Jelly Bean flavour. First, Google Editions of the Galaxy S4 and HTC One got the sweet servings then the Nexus 7 2 delivered the dessert out of the box.

Now, the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 from last year are gradually absorbing the latest Android form. But we all know that JB 4.3's reign is only short-lived and KitKat, which is Android 4.4, will soon dislodge it.

And with September marking as the month that Google is morphing its circulating Nexus devices to the last JB version, it's not far off that KitKat is coming out soon and the candy bar unwrapping is likely to happen on mid-October.

The 2013 Nexus 10 is going live on Google Play real soon

Google is replacing the Nexus 10 with a more powerful build this year and according to Android Central, Samsung has been bumped off the project. Replacing it is Nexus 7-maker Asus.

The tech site pointed to a recent Tweet from PC World, showing the 10-inch Nexus slate with the Asus branding and set to appear soon on the shelves of UK retailer Currys. The tablet has a storage configuration of 16GB and will retail at £350, reflecting a jump from the 2012 pricing.

Yet more significantly, the leaked information suggests that Google Play will soon display the full-sized Nexus tablet as the online store typically carries all the Nexus devices in advance.

LG Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 will be unboxed ahead of the refreshed iPads unveiling

Apple set the pace by unleashing the 5S and the 5C ahead of the Nexus 5. Now it's Google's turn to upstage its rival by revealing its new smartphone along with the improved Nexus 10 a day before the rumoured iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 uncloaking.

Google has been pitting its Nexus 10 against the 9.7-inch iPad and it aims to get a good headstart by introducing earlier than the regular-size tablet leader. It is possible too that actual rollout date for the device will be earlier as Apple is seen to start retailing its new tablets by late October or early November.

With the Nexus 7 already in wide circulation, Google should immediately issue the Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 right after their official announcement.

On release date, both the LG Nexus 5 and the Asus Nexus 10 will bear significant component upgrades from the 2012 editions and will run on KitKat, which is rumoured to deal effectively with the nagging Android fragmentation.
