There are three reasons why Blackberry Z10 is better than the iPhone 5 in the area of repairability. ifixit, a tech repair Web site, just gave the BB Z10 an 8 out of 10 score, beating iPhone 5's 7.

The portal bases its scores on its regular taking apart devices such as laptops, gaming systems and mobile phones and assessing them based on ease of repairing the gadget.

It based the higher score of BlackBerry to the following:

1. The battery can be replaced even with tools

2. The motherboard and display could easily be removed

3. Standardised screws are used to put the Z10 together.

In contrast, the iPhone 5 uses uncommon screws and many of its parts of soldered or combined into one piece, causing repair bills of iPhone 5 owners to be higher.

Though both mobile smartphones are priced at $199, the iPhone 5 is expected to retain the title as the world's best-selling smartphone.

While the BBZ10 February launch in Europe and Canada is considered the most successful in the company's history, sales continue to slow down that bell and Virgin had reduced its price by $40.

However, in the U.S., it continues to sell for $199. It became available in AT&T last week and will in Verizon and T-Mobile store shelves this week.
