"The Walking Dead" Season 1

This week brought an update from Telltale Games in relation to the upcoming The Walking Dead Season 2 game, something that fans have been craving for since the release of the 400 Days DLC.

But before you jump into all the Clementine action with the first episode during the holiday season, best to re-play the five episode of The Walking Dead Season 1, as well as the 400 Days DLC.

If you have already played the game (or heard about it), you'll know that it's not your usual zombie adventure shooting spree game. According to Metro, it's more of an interactive, decision-based game that takes into account all the things that you will do in the game.

In fact, the decisions that you make in both The Walking Dead Season 1 and the 400 Days DLC will affect your run for the second season, so make sure you can stick with your choices this time around.

"Silent Hill" 1 or 2

No horror gaming list will be complete without adding one of the Silent Hill franchises. According to Crave Online, if you're going to choose from the nine installments of the game, it's best to stick with the earlier ones, as they pack the most fear and are basically the best of the bunch.

If you want nightmares after playing a game, "Silent Hill" will be your best bet, mostly because rather than mere surprise scares, the design of the characters will make your Halloween an even scarier one.

Just the thought of playing a game featuring the Pyramid Head, Bubble Nurses (doesn't matter if they would've looked sexy when alive), and the Mannequin is enough to give you the spooks way past Halloween.

"Do You have a Grudge?"

Nothing beats Asian horror for the ultimate scares, so you know that something terrifying will come when a game is based on one of the scariest Asian horror movies.

While this is a promotional online game for the movie that makes use of Flash and an accomplish-list type of game, JayIsGames.com reports that it will likely creep you out--more than the remake of the Japanese movie starring Sarah Michelle Gellar ever can.

You will basically have a heart attack every moment, from the ominous music to the possibility of whatever springing on you from the shadows of the house.

Don't expect a long game with decision-based adventures and endings--there is just one ending, and you probably know how that's going to go. But if you want a scary time this Halloween, this is a game that you shouldn't miss. And it's for free, too!

"Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs"

A follow-up of the original "The Dark Descent" game that has been hailed for its originality and suspense, but it's a game that comes from a different developer. Of course, that territory of a new developer taking over a franchise has its consequences and benefits, and it depends on you about how to look at this.

For fans of the original, it can prove to be a bit jarring, despite what Edge-Online describes to be a better more seamless experience. However, there are also points lost for incorporating some features, like the audio diary and new puzzles into the game, not because they aren't good enough, but because they take away the tension of the game itself.

If you want to go with a more terrifying experience, the predecessor of the game, "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" may be more your pace, but rest assured that there's terror in both installments for this Halloween.
